Consommation des antibiotiques à prescription réservée
au niveau de différents hôpitaux du Liban

Un premier travail d’équipe au niveau des pharmaciens hospitaliers va voir le jour, il s’agit d’étudier la consommation des antibiotiques à prescription réservée au sein des hôpitaux afin de lutter contre la résistance bactérienne aux antibiotiques au niveau de tout le pays.

Ce travail va être présenté en premier lieu au congrès du Clin à l’Hôtel-Dieu (octobre 2009) accompagné d’une séance traitant l’écologie bactérienne des différents hôpitaux et préparée par les microbiologistes des laboratoires concernés. En se basant sur ces données, d’autres travaux vont avoir lieu ultérieurement et seront présentés dans d’autres congrès.

Cette étude comportera la consommation des antibiotiques sur 6 mois, du 1er janvier 2009 au 30 juin 2009. Si vous voulez participer à notre étude nous vous prions de remplir le questionnaire suivant :

Benchmarking restricted antimicrobial drug use at Lebanese hospitals

Given the association between antimicrobial use and the selection of resistant pathogens, the frequency of inappropriate antimicrobial use is often used as a surrogate marker for the avoidable impact on antimicrobial resistance. This survey was initiated as a multidisciplinary approach at the level of hospital pharmacists to benchmark restricted antimicrobial drug use in Lebanese hospitals in order to identify potential problem areas of overuse and to aid in establishing future appropriate and attainable goals.

The results of this survey will be presented initially at the congress ‘Clin à l’Hôtel-Dieu’ (October 2009) followed by another presentation by the clinical microbiologists focusing on the ecology of microbial pathogens.  
This data will be utilized to extract other information which will be presented in other congresses.  This study will comprise the consumption of restricted antimicrobials over 6 months, from January 1, 2009 to June 30, 2009.
